What I’m doing now
Launching The Interrogation of Satine
The latest Satine book is out, hooray! I have been told it’s a bit hot, so … careful who’s reading over your shoulder, possum. The series also has a new cover that hopefully expresses the romantic and sci-fi elements a lot better.

The new (dot).club newsletter is a-go-go 🚀 Here’s hoping my lovely recipients enjoy the new vibe.
Project Orellia
I am now in the midst of restructuring the drafts for this. Lots of background work is happening (aka. woolgathering, planning, making sketches, throwing sketches in the bin, etc.), usually in between bouts of work on my Satine drafts and family stuff.
Other projects
-
Sunset on a Distant World: a sci-fi romance that’s currently on hold. I’m actually up to the 4th version of the novel draft, and needing to grok a few more writing techniques before I’m ready for the next revision.
-
The Basilica Conspiracy: an action-adventure romance series in a futuristic off-world setting. Work continues in the background, also at a slow pace.
-
“Mashed”: a sci-fi I am currently researching and ideating.

Who am I? 👩🏻💻
G’day, I’m JL. I write love letters to the future, most often in the form of romantic science fiction and fantasy (also called “science fantasy”). From here, you can check out my books and stories and keep up with my work via Dot Club (my nerdy, slow, low-noise email newsletter).
By the way, this is a Now Page. Here's how to make your own.
